Chestnuts' Custom: Repaints are Copouts

My tenth custom and personal best so far. I tried carving off the ears and repositioning them, poised down and also carving out a mouth to give him that expression he so often has!
It's worth mentioning that this was the last figure I used external varnish on, as a previous sale has been damaged by a type of foam I was using to pack them and also, on this one the varnish has left a slightly orangey sheen over the finish.. which I could literally go postal about!
